TO: To All Contractors
FROM: Jeffrey L. Nelson, Building Official/Zoning Administrator
RE: City of Walker Contractor Registrations
Prior to any permits being issued all contractors must renew their
contractor's registration form.
The registration periods are as follows:
| Residential |
July 1st to June 30th of the following year |
| Commercial |
July 1st to June 30th of the following year |
| Electrical |
July 1st to June 30th of the following year |
| Sign Specialist |
July 1st to June 30th of the following year |
| Mechanical |
FROM THE TIME YOU REGISTER until August 31st of the
year that the State license expires |
| Plumbing |
FROM THE TIME YOU REGISTER until April 30th of the
following year |
| Fire Alarm |
July 1st to June 30th of the following year |
| Storm Water Drainage |
If working in the City right-of-way you need to be
licensed with the City of Walker DPW. If not working in the City
right-of-way you need to have a current plumbing registration with
the City of Walker Building Department. |
The following is a list of items that need to be included with your
registration before it can be processed:
- Copy of license
- Workman's compensation insurance (except if self-employed)
- A completed registration form with signature (which is enclosed
for your convenience)
